Participants in Basic Sailing perform all tasks from preparing the boat for sailing, tacking and gybing, sailing on all points of sail, to participating in safety drills.

Our students learn on new and well equipped Catalinas. Our instructors are Coast Guard licensed captains and certified ASA instructors with over thirty years sailing, racing, and offshore cruising. We make a special effort to be supportive and understanding. Our goal is that you learn to sail and that you have a fun and rewarding experience.

Class begins at 9:15 am on Friday. All day Friday, Saturday, and Sunday are spent sailing off the Georgia coast. Class size is limited to 6 - $200.00 deposit required.

Tuition: $550 per person.

2008 Basic Sailing School Dates:
March 14-16, April 25-27, May 16-18, June 6-8, July 18-20, September 12-14, October 3-5.

Private Sailing Schools: If our schedule doesn't meet your schedule, we will arrange private school lessons just for your group. Private schools can be ASA cerification courses, or we can tailor the curriculum to your needs. For tuition costs and details of private schools, please call our office at 1-800-282-1411.

This course is also sanctioned by the ASA and completion of this course qualifies you for ASA Coastal Cruising certification.

Classes begin at 1:30 p.m. Friday. Students study navigation and begin sailing Friday, sail to an offshore destination on Saturday, and complete instruction on Sunday. Class size is limited to 6 - $200.00 deposit required.

Tuition: $550 - Includes Basic Sailing Materials and Certification. $495 - If student already has Basic Sailing Certification or does not want ASA certification. No materials or testing included. 2008 Coastal Cruising School Dates: April 4-6, June 20-22, August 15-17, October 10-12.
